The Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA), in proud collaboration with Farm Alert, continues to lead the charge in empowering young veterinarians through entrepreneurship. In the third phase of the Vetpreneurship Grant, NVMA has awarded a fresh ₦9 million to deserving young veterinary professionals across Nigeria.
This milestone brings the total Vetpreneurship funding to ₦42 million disbursed since the program launched last year — a powerful testament to our unwavering commitment to building a thriving veterinary future.
🐾 What is Vetpreneurship?
The Vetpreneurship Grant is a flagship initiative aimed at:
Supporting young veterinarians in launching or expanding agribusiness ventures.
Encouraging innovation, sustainability, and job creation in the veterinary and livestock sectors.
Promoting the role of veterinary professionals in national food security and animal health systems.
🚀 Vetpreneurship Grant 3.0: A Celebration of Vision and Resilience
The third phase witnessed inspiring pitches, competitive selection, and ultimately the emergence of a new cohort of Vetpreneurs ready to make impact in diverse fields — from livestock production and veterinary diagnostics to agri-tech and pet health services.
We congratulate all Vetpreneurship 3.0 awardees, who now join a growing network of trailblazers transforming veterinary practice beyond the clinic.
